Four Bodegas Piqueras wines have been awarded medals by one of the most important wine publications “Down Under”

Bodegas Piqueras has achieved significant results in New Zealand and Australia, with four wines being awarded medals by The Real Review, one of the best known wine publications “Down Under”. Our wines achieved three silver medals and one bronze.

Piqueras Black Label, Piqueras High Altitude Garnacha and Marius Syrah were awarded silver medals, and Valcanto Syrah gained a bronze. The Real Review is one of the most influential independent wine publications in Australia and New Zealand, with an outstanding team of wine writers who taste over 10,000 wines per year.

Pieter Whaley, commercial director at Bodegas Piqueras, has underlined the importance of these awards for our wines, as they continue to make headway in these markets,
especially in New Zealand, where the aim for 2021 is for “Bodegas Piqueras to be the highest-selling Spanish wine producer in the whole country”.
